Synopsis
On 23rd June 1985, Air India Flight 182, a Boeing 747-237 airliner, was flying from Montreal to Bombay with stopovers at London and Delhi. The flight was a victim of a terrorist attack, and coincided with the Narita Airport Bombing which occurred within an hour of this terrorist attack. The bomb that caused the explosion of Flight 182 was situated in the forward cargo hold of the aircraft. The B747-237 blew up at an altitude of 31,000ft over the Atlantic Ocean in Irish Airspace. All 329 people onboard (307 passengers, 22 crewmembers) were killed.
